  Robert and Lindsay had been disussing marriage for weeks prior to their engagement. Robert was hestitant to make such a huge decision so quickly. Until one night when he surprised Lindsay while watching the 2004 Summer Olympics at his home in South Jordan. Robert had decided that he wanted to be with Lindsay forever. A few days later he presented her with a homemade video where he told her how much he loves her. The next day, the two purchased a ring and made the big announcement.
